DEL REY SHORES JOINT VENTURE - MARINA DEL REY RESIDENTIAL PROJECT
We represented Del Rey Shores Joint Venture in obtaining approval for a 544-unit residential development in Marina del Rey from the County of Los Angeles and the California Coastal Commission. This project required a number of entitlements including a Conditional Use Permit, Local Coastal Development Permit, parking Variance, and Environmental Impact Report. This project faced very organized and well-funded opposition groups and significant challenges by petitioner's legal counsel who was subsequently disbarred and jailed. After gaining approval by Los Angeles County, we defeated the CEQA challenge in Superior Court on all but one of 19 counts, and ultimately prevailed at the Court of Appeal.
